Our starters, prawn cocktail and lamb cawl, were delicious and generous in portion size. However, the prawn cocktail was served in a soup dish with cucumber instead of the traditional presentation in a glass with iceberg lettuce.
The standout of the meal was the passion fruit cheesecake dessert, which was beautifully presented and truly delicious.
Moving on to the mains, the beef and lamb roasts had plenty of meat but were overcooked to the point where there was no need for chewing. The roast potatoes were not crispy, and the mixed vegetables were undercooked and tough. The Yorkshire pudding was disappointingly large, with a cardboard-like consistency and lack of flavor.
