The service was excellent, including the bar for a drink when we arrived. Always a good sign when the staff appear relaxed but still efficient. The food was also excellent, quality and quantity. It was well cooked and presented. My wife also praised the wine (I was driving, so I will have to experience this next time). The only challenge was the noise level. The place was very busy, which is a good, but the acoustics meant that it was difficult hear what my wife was saying some times. I recognise that a lot of this is the hand they are dealt due to the building structure but still a factor. Otherwise this was an excellent evening and will certainly plan to return.
tasteful ambiente with exceptional hospitality from a friendly team and a knowledgeable renter. eat as always with an experienced cook in the kitchen that knows its aromas and shows above average cooking with the best of the seasons. the lunch package is also an excellent value for money, with drinks at reasonable prices. highly recommended.
a hidden shade. full character typical country pub. the menu changes frequently and they make a smaller number of things really good. I was twice and not disappointed and will go back. the personal was friendly and attentive. highly recommended!
