The only reason I gave this place 5 stars is that I can't give it 10! From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by warm, friendly, and professional staff who make you feel right at home. The frying dinners here are among the best you’ll ever have—so good you might find yourself going back for seconds, just like at Mama's house. You'll feel so welcome that there's no rush; you can take your time to truly savor your meal and relax. Don't confuse this with slow service; the staff is incredibly personal and attentive to each patron's needs. I have to say, I'm glad the cook isn't my mother—I'd probably end up the size of a house!
I have visited the restaurant since it was taken over many years ago by the French. about the years when I passed the m40 or around oxfordshire, I would bring friends to have lunch here. the food and service are both excellent. Sometimes, maybe some dishes aren't on my personal taste, but I can't boil that. for those who complain about the price, I would say that this is a reasonable price for the food level provided. they could get less food for more money. but it would be impossible to find a place with the same quality for less money. Maybe that's my London-centric bias.
I recommend giving it a try. Although it’s not as trendy as it used to be when I visited years ago, it has a pleasant pub food vibe and features an outdoor pizza oven. However, the beer selection is limited. The service is excellent, and the pub garden adds to the charm. Inside is also quite nice. Overall, I’d rate the food a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 4.
Reporting only on the antique centre. Poor selection of paintings. In need of refurbishment. Inside auction room does nothing to lift the appeal. Disappointed in antique quality having gone there for several years previously. Restaurant is not owned by the Centre. Book a table now
The swan reopened last Friday and it was amazing. Went back for Sunday roast and was best roast in the area by Miles. The new landlord is lovely and friendly and all staff very welcoming. Can't recommend enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxed. The host was extremely friendly. We enjoyed a delicious meal—a burger and drinks—and we would definitely return.

Not the best, Coffee had better, under staffed, and was quite expensive, as it was £13 for 2 coffees and a bit of cake....
