"Very disappointed with food and service went to the upstairs restaurant on a Wednesday evening prior to St George open air and it took more than 45min to get served although the restaurant was almost empty... Tried the crispy prawn tacos and pork and did not like either. Not sure whether it was a bad night but I was definitely unimpressed and would not recommend the food. The top area is nice with a terrasse though probably better to sitck to drinks !"

I was right in between a 3 and a 4 on this one, 3 for the food 4 for the atmosphere, but have to give it to the food because that's always most important in my eye. Came here for some drinks on Friday night around 7:45. Wasn't too crowded so we headed upstairs to have some drinks on the rooftop so my friend could smoke. Definitely a lot of people who had been drinking for a long period of time up there. We actually tried to get hustled for some cigarettes from a drunk biddy. Anyway, we hadn't had dinner so we ordered some food and sat down and waited. I think the food would have taken nearly 45 minutes, as they only had one guy cooking all of it. Definitely think they should have had more pe...

Finding a good pub is like finding a diamond in the rough, a needle in a haystack, an Australian in Bondi. And when they 're all masquerading around as hotels (a bit forward if you ask me... sure, maybe I 'll sleep with you, but at least booze me up first! it makes the matter all the more difficult. I 'll take the pains of searching out of it Sydney this classy hotel truly does the trick. It 's less proper boozer and more posh nosh than some might like, so spend the Sunday sport stint elsewhere and save this for the Sunday session with friends that shower/wear shoes on a regular basis and/or visiting family. With a beautiful aesthetic, fantastic patio, lovely back garden and a few different...

You cannot judge this pub just based on its apprearance from the outside because once you step in you feel like you're in a suave restaurant! Kitchen is run by Head chef James Wallis and sous Chef Alvin Valfuna I only know this as it was on the menu :P) Staff were very lovely and courteous. We got to sample a few entree's including the ox tartar, wild boar terrine, yellow fin tuna, beetroot carpaccio and the hiramasa kingfis. My favourites were the kingfish and the Ox tartar. For main I had the 250g rangers valley wagyu skirt steak with served with hand cut chips, zucchini, lemon and olive oil cooked med well the steak was perfection! Loved the hand cut chips little crispy on the outside. De...

The first time I visited this pub it was practically empty, but that probably had something to do with it being something like 10:00 am in the morning. However I did come back here at a more reasonable time (something like 2:00 pm, I think) to check it out (and it was a Saturday as well), and there was certainly a lot more people crammed into this place. Okay, it isn't one of my favourite pubs, but it's pretty cool nonetheless. They have a nice beer garden out the back, as well as a rooftop deck and tables out on the pavement (which is pretty wide by the way). There are some really decent beers on tap as well. However, it can get fairly crowded, especially on nice days as the entire back par...
