My Japanese wife and I, I am French Canadian, leaving in Vancouver for almost 30 years now, were passing through Kamloops and we stopped by for a dinner on the way to Cache Creek and we both enjoyed very much, easy to find, parking nearby, service was very friendly, I had the black tonkatsu ramen my wife had sesame ramen we both enjoyed, the egg was cooked perfect, but true it was cold, shouldn't, noodles were great, the chashu was excellent just the way we like, lots of green onions, the broth was rich and tasty, but they only had Sapporo no Asahi a bit disappointed, about that we liked and I would recommend.
Popped in here for dinner on my way through Kamloops based on reviews. Was totally taken back when told if I was a father, and this was Father 's Day they had a choice of four free Ramens! I had the Black Tonkotsu...great broth and ingredients. Plus, super frendly staff! Outstanding in this day and age of pump up the prices for a small restaurant to honor dad 's with free food! Way to go: Wakayama Ramen Bar!
black garlic bowl was delicious. edamame was plain but as advertised. a little salt and minced garlic would go a long way. kimchi was delicious.. very skimpy on the added cabbage for the price. would definitely order again as long as I had a lil salt and garlic on hand :
It was my first time trying ramen and I honestly wasn’t that impressed. But it’s an affordable spot and the ambience is laid back and quite cozy.

Able to make vegan and gluten free ramen. Enjoyed the Japanese curry, so delicious. A great stop for dinner on the way to Jasper!
I ordered the cashew rice bowl but received minced pork on rice instead. Aside from that, the ramen was fantastic!
