Tunnel City Coffee

This is not my first review of Tunnel City, a nice coffee house which serves uniformly excellent espresso. I first came here probably in 2005. I don't come often because I live in the Boston area, but I often come when I'm driving between my house and that of a close friend outside of Albany, NY (I take the backroads because they only take about an hour longer, and it actually feels much shorter because the scenery is so much more interesting and the driving so much more fun . Tunnel City has the most reliably good espresso of any establishment I've frequented. I think he said his name was Erving? Anyway he made the most delightful latte. I don’t normally leave reviews except when the service is either extremely excellent or terrible. And it was definitely an excellent day after my latte! Will say that the egg sandwhiches need some work. Even if you’re going to reheat everything then keep the ingredients separate. It was like they stuffed all the ingredients into a muffin tin and then baked it to be reheated later. While it wasn’t even wide enough to cover an English muffin it was thick enough to where I could barely bite it. Definitely will not order one of those again.

Very quite and amazing place to have your morning coffee and quiche while reading the morning news! My family and I stopped for breakfast and we had a blast with our coffee and different food plates! Love it!!!

This place had the best coffee i have had in a long time. Also had an outstanding raspberry nut muffin that was to die forStaff was perfect. .

Nice, comfortable place with seat outside the awning. Yummy little cake, good latte, polite people. Internet. Croissants!
