Thank God for the Waffle House. You know they're the only restaurant open in a hurricane? If they're not open, you better take cover. You can also measure the severity of a storm on your menu. It was an emergency menu on 9\29\22, how Hurricane Ian boiled (which is limited but very appreciated). I wasn't the only one without power. Thanksable to the crew, they had to work tirelessly and coughed some food tired for the storm. Large round applause for Lumsden Ave Waffle House Management and Staff!! Thank you!
Post COVID has made things exceptionally harder to order. They have new rules. They won't take over the phone to go orders. You have to go in store to order. They may have limited staffing and therefore may only allow only so many people in house. It's a clean establishment. However, check your food before you leave with your to go order so that your food is as specified. Have had some issues with the bacon not being cooked all the way through and the flavor left out of the waffle as ordered.
Waffle House on Lumsden in Brandon is great!!! Chelsea is the best!! Took great care of our group of six. Place was clean inviting. Tonight 's cook, I 'm sorry I forgot his name, is awesome!!! THE BEST GRITS I 'VE EVER HAD!! Breakfast for dinner is always great!! This is our new go-to place. Food was excellent service was 1000 stars!!!! Update!! Sonia Juan are amazing. Our 3rd time here, 2nd time with both of them. So friendly fun!!! Still the best grits EVER!!!
Waited for 15 minutes to place a to-go order. I got to the front of the line to order only to be told to move aside to let other people cash out. I understand they are busy, but to be put behind everyone to simply cash out is horrible service. Definitely will not come back to this location!
