"Food was good. Volcano bbq sauce is actually hot! Probably my favorite thing there. The meats were good and sides were average. I like my bbq at home better but it was nice to let someone else do the cooking."

The sausage was exceptional, although I would suggest being a bit more adventurous and trying a couple of different varieties. The mac and cheese—while perhaps a common offering—was surprisingly delightful, especially with the addition of chiles. The brisket was quite tasty, and the beans and slaw provided delicious and textural contrast to the meats. Be sure to go all out and ask for the Volcano sauce; it’s definitely worth it. A trip to Santa Fe is incomplete without this dining experience, especially if you're looking for something beyond the typical New Mexican cuisine. It offers a perfect blend of the familiar and the innovative.

When I first got there I was a little concerned since there was no costumers dinning in. But it smelled amazing!!!!! And had some pretty good reviews!!! So we went ahead and ordered the ultimate platter for our party of three adults and three children along with a side order of the jalapeno Mac n cheese and cucumber salad. The jalapeno Mac n cheese wasn't too spicy it was mild and I enjoyed it. The cucumber salad was really good too. It looked like it had been soaked in the vinegar awhile but the cucumbers were still crunchy and VERY delicious ribs. I will totally come to Santa Fe just to eat here!!!!

Pulled pork from above... Down south touring (chorkle, snicker Santa Fe and our first stop is BBQ (really? . Had a choice between two since they're across the street from each other and the Whole hog won the coin toss (I'm going to frame that coin . Had the jumbo pulled pork (as always sandwich which was wonderful. A whole big heaping of beautiful moist pork with a smokey flavor topped off with a great bark. Dang can't really remember too much about the side, think it was slaw. What a way to start a trip.

The service was exceptional—humble yet top-notch. The restaurant was immaculate, and the barbecue was the best I've had in this region. The potato salad was delicious, albeit in a quirky, non-traditional Southern style. They have sweet tea on tap, which is essential at any authentic BBQ spot. I must say, it surpassed any barbecue I tried in Kansas City this past summer, and that's quite a statement. The location is great, and I definitely plan to return before I leave Santa Fe.
