"The Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg and the Kehlsteinhaus, also called “Eagle’s Nest”, are among the most popular destinations in the Berchtesgadener Land. The journey by bus over the 6.5km long Kehlsteinstrasse, which was completed in 1938 after only 13 months of construction, is adventurous. "The first holiday felt a hundred years. It's not so long here, but now it's too late. In any case we reached our first holiday destination Berchtesgaden after six hours drive very, very thirsty. After a short tour the Gasthaus Bier Adam appeared to strengthen us with the first Bavarian hell. In the afternoon it was almost twelve o'clock.
