"We stayed in Bickenbach on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to have dinner with the children on site. Shortly looked on the internet which restaurants there are and since we wanted German food the choice fell to the Landgasthof greenhouse. I've been passing there several times and the restaurant is very nice and makes an impressive impression from the Bundesstraße. There was a mediocre critique but we wanted to see ourselves how we like it. The restaurant It is located a bit off the B3 between Bickenbach and DA Eberstadt. Behind the house there is a large parking lot. You may wonder why there is a massive bird's jersey on the outside. But when you get out of the restaurant it was clear. On the property, Pfaue and one of them sat right behind the entrance door on the railing and then flew away. There are 2 areas in the guest room. One directly at the kitchen and one upstream, which is used especially for events. If you're sitting there, you'll also have a look at the Odenwald, but if you're sitting in the upper area, you can only see the windows in the lower area. A bit of a pity at the beautiful and slightly elevated location. The ambience is a bit rustic and yet has come clearly into the years. Here a renovation would contribute much to a more pleasant atmosphere. Cooking cheese Schnitzel On this Sunday it was very quiet in the evening. There was only another table next to us. That is why we were served very quickly. Beverages and food were quickly received. We had 2 cooked cheeses Schnitzel à 12,50€ and for the children there were Pommes à 2,50€ and smoked salmon à 3,50€. At first the drinks, followed by the supplements salads came to the carvings. It was a mixture of white wort, carrots and mixed green salad one of a very heavy salad sauce that was not a tasteful highlight – I would also doubt that it was homemade, but I am not quite sure. Then the whole hot food came. I've eaten the Schnitzel cooked cheese much better here in the area. Although it was large and poured over with a neat amount of cooking cheese, the carving, the panade and also the cooking cheese were very low in taste. The laughter and the pommes for the kids were completely okay. Unfortunately, for the suffering of the children the Majo was out to the Pommes. Price performance. Well, it wasn't very expensive, but we didn't get any highs. Prices are appropriate for the quality offered, but you cannot expect much. The drinks are definitely not too expensive. Overall, I can only confirm the mediocre critique of other users on other portals and I don't think I'm going to come back."
