"The boy has to get the fresh air. Who doesn't know him, the movie with Hape Kerkeling. We have changed this a bit today and converted into “Opi Hartwig has to get to the fresh air”. After his long hospital and rehab stay, today the couple of kilometers went to Flügge to take a walk to the Jimmy Hendrix Monument on the desert beach. Those who do not know, a few days before his death at an overdose of sleeping pills in London on 18.09.1970 played Jimmy Hendrix on 06.09.1970 at his last festival, the Love and Peace Festival in Flügge on Fehmarn. Nearly 200 metres from the former stage, there is a 2.5-metre high memorial to commemorate Jimmy Hendrix. For a long time there were also Revival Festivals, which were last visited by 25,000 spectators. However, the nature conservation was a line through the bill, and so the festivals had to be set in 2010. So a little walk, and the thoughts of Opi Hartwig's youth also make hungry. Since in the villages on Fehmarn in March almost every gastro has closed, we decided to go back to Burg. At the beginning of the market square, the “Wissers Hotel und Restaurant” is an old-honored house. Wisser 's Hotel Restaurant directly on the market in Burg After 199 years, the house was owned by the family before Susanne Skerra, born Wisser Rosolleck, owner of “Wisser’s Hotel” sold this house to a Hamburg hotel chain in Burg. Unfortunately, the children had no ambitions to the house in 8. to take over generation, their attention is rather on island flying and apartment rental. However, it is also obvious that Mrs Skerra has to stop thinking about 70 lenzens at some point. Since December 2022, the UNO hotels from Hamburg have taken over the hotel and restaurant, and the name “Wissers” is preserved for now. It would be a pity if after 200 years of restaurant history a name just disappeared. The hotel and restaurant has been cultivated and expanded several times, after a large fire in 2003, the large hall was finally torn off and the hotel and restaurant was modernized once more. Today, the “Wissers Restaurant” presents itself from the outside in the typical old North German style, and in the interior is a mixture of modern and rustic ambience. Large tables provide enough space for food and drinks, the benches along the walls are comfortably softly padded with red leather. The chairs, in turn, have this red leather cushion as a seat, while the backrest is cushioned with soft fluorine. In the middle of the guest room is the large rustic counter, from which everything is managed. To a larger sall there is a slidable intermediate wall in order to expand the guest room accordingly if necessary. At our arrival the restaurant was still relatively empty, but within the next 30 minutes both the guest room and the adjoining room were occupied to the last place. Good thing we called in advance to book a table. View of the hall now brightly illuminated, just a few minutes later occupied to the last place When entering the restaurant we already noticed a table with the daily dishes that were praised there. We were welcomed by a 3-strong men's team, which kept the restaurant running together. We were brought to our place exactly opposite the counter, and after we sat the menus at the table. In contrast to the restaurants we most visited, the Wissers is not a pure fish restaurant, but rather a mixture of fresh fish dishes and good-bourgeois German and regional cuisine. So for every taste something should be found in the menu. After a few minutes, our decision was already clear, we had already completely convinced the day offers of the exhibitor in the entrance area. We ordered: As drinks: · 2x 0.2ér Bühler Grauburgunder from the Bühler winery from Kallstadt in the Palatinate for 6,90 € · 1x 0.5ér Duckstein for 5,50 € As starter: · 1x Fresh fish soup with rich inlay and roasted baguette for 12,90 € As main feed: · 1x Dorschfilet with Wirsing I finally had a freshly tapped Duckstein, Opi Hartwig and my wife were looking forward to their Grauburgunder. The Grauburgunder was again very fresh and pleasant. I had to hesitate to choose my beer for a while, there are also King Pilsener and especially my beloved Jever from the barrel. Opi Hartwig has draped our drinks; After a good quarter of an hour the door of the kitchen opened, and my hot awaited fish soup came here. In the beginning, I had to swallow hard when ordering whether the here called €12.90 for a preliminary soup. But what was offered was in any case worth the money, and rather than a full meal. Fresh fish soup with rich inlay and roasted baguette Already at yesterday’s fish soup in the “dat lütte Fischhus” in Landkirchen I wrote that the supplement was plentiful, but here at Wissers this was once again clearly doubt. In the pictures you can see that many different fish pieces, shrimps, mussels and vegetables from rags and carrots are more than enough. The clear, hot and strong brew was also really good. There were two slices of fresh, roasted baguette. Wow, what a start. plentiful insert We had to wait another 20 minutes for our main foods, but also what was served there made our eyes shine. My wife decided today for the cod fillet with host vegetables and roast potatoes. Dorschfilet with Wirsinggemüse and Bratkartoffeln Several thick fillets from the Dorsch, which were slightly fried, but still really fresh and juicy, lay on a large bunch of Wirsinggemüse. The Wirsing vegetables were softly cooked, mixed with plenty of small cassel cubes. All in a slightly creamy sauce. The hosting taste itself was really strong. Also the roast potatoes were not bad, dressed with onion and fresh belly ridge. While the onions were already somewhat too fried, the potatoes were missing the last cut to be cherry. All in all a good dish. the frying potatoes were missing the last cut of Opi Hartwig and I, we had decided to pannate. He came in a giant pan. Be careful. Also the cod fillets, of which four different sizes lay in the pan, were hot, fried and really nicely tender. The white meat of the cod in the bite still really solid, as it is expected from the cod, pann fish fried in mustard sauce, with roast potatoes To the cod, a slightly sharp and creamy mustard sauce was crowned. In this the mustard grains were still clearly perceptible, the taste perfectly matched without overdue the cod taste. Our roast potatoes were a bit better than that of my wife, but the little bite was missing here. However, this is now also whining at a high level. Salad to pann fish There was a glass of freshly prepared salad. This consisted of fresh tomatoes, crisp paprika, white herbalate, carrot and rocket. A light, mild dressing seasoned the salad. Delicious. Pannfisch mit fried Dorsch in Senfsoße, in addition roast potatoes When I order a fore soup for expensive money, my wife now wanted her beloved dessert again. So it should be: · 1x American chocolate brownie with vanilla sauce, ice cream and cream for 7,90 €. American Chocolates Brownie with vanilla sauce, ice cream and cream She had to wait for her dessert for a quarter of an hour, but was also not disappointed. A fluffy, seemingly self-baked and unlikely chocolate-lady brownie wanted to be consumed. And my wife had such her dear need, that was almost too shameful. Then the vanilla ice cream and the solid cream helped take something from the sweet. The whole is decorated with fresh orange, grapefruit and kiwi, so there was also a fruity taste. After a plentiful hour and a half, we were finished, and we went back to Opi Hartwig's house to eat a glass of wine and one or other beer. Our conclusion: we left the third smooth 90,00 Euro in the “Wissers Restaurant and Hotel” in Burg on the beautiful island of Fehmarn. An ancient house with rustic and good kitchen. We had nothing to do with the service, even if we got the wrong dish at the neighboring table, but that was a mistake of the kitchen. We can recommend the Wisser's calm conscience, and we know and hope that you can return well here. Sure. Wisser 's Hotel Restaurant"

"Bella Italia on Fehmarn! I rarely go to the Italian because I have gluten intolerance, but gluten-containing durum wheat is the main ingredient of pasta, pizza and co. How good that we came in the afternoon at the Borgo Antico on a tour through the castle. On the new covered terrace there was a sign referring to gluten-free pasta. What a happiness for me! We reserve a 4 person table for the evening. (Visit at home). The Borgo Antico also has a hotel where we stayed in 2015. I'm 100% sure you don't have gluten-free noodles yet. I am so glad that we are now dealing with food intolerances. The menu is exemplary! All dishes are characterized: A gluten-containing grain 1 with dye(s) B crustaceans 2 coffe-containing C eggs 3 with sweeteners D fish 4 keeps phenylaling source E peanuts 5 with preservatives G I milk products 8 with antioxidant N sulfur dioxide sulfite P molluscs I order a semi-dry Valpolicella and no appetizers, the other Montepulciano As the main dish I chose gluten-free penne noodles Warm served, beautifully dressed and really deliciously prepared! Va bene! As I like to eat sharply, I read a pepper mill. The other main dishes were La Carbonara Italiana, (spaghetti with fresh bacon and egg in cream sauce), Nerano Dolce (short noodles with fresh bacon (about 150 g) and fresh zucchini in a special delicious cream sauce, rounded with parmesan flakes and pepper from the mill, as well as a pizza piccante (with salami, ham, fresh). The covered terrace is windproof and has radiators for cooler evenings. Delicious! Friendly, attentive staff and “dressed” by the Greeks, there was a free snack after the meal. We chose Grappa, Ramazzotti and Sambuca. Very attentive! My recommendation!"
