"We also recommended this location by our landlord. This time, she's full of black, drunk. The boss is loose and the girl who served us is also very nice and cheerful. She apologised that she had to ask the boss because she was new. Don't worry. But she was not annoyed,or nervous,but all the time she had a smile on her face. We also told her boss that we were very happy with her. We were allowed to pick a table in the beer garden. There were only bitburgers or wheat. You could choose beer between a normal Bitburger and a stone cradle. In the Steinkrug, the beer is cooler and, of course, has something visual. So I took a stone beer to 4 euros. Because it tasted very good, I drank another. Males ordered a wheat at 4.50 euros. As an appetizer we took the Gambas in garlic oil, at 11.50 euros. Isn't a witch's work,but they were really hot and were served in a pot. It was also decent garlic in it. There was bread in a basket. Tastefully perfect. Mane took to the main dish thick beans in cream with carvings and roast potatoes, to 14 euros. Even when he had read the map in advance on the Internet, he realized that he ordered this court. Thick beans don't get me. It was a big portion, it tasted him very well and male was happy. I decided for the chili cheese burger with pommes, at 12.50 euros. I asked for Mayo. Dry pommes, don't go with me. The girl also had full understanding and brought me a bag of Mayo. I belong to the Mayo group with Pommes, as Pommes with Mayo. So laughing the girl brought me two more bags. The Mayo, by the way, was free, which is not everywhere. She could have put me a bottle of Mayo, so I'm easy to care. In addition, there were these thick pommes and,not these dreadful thin things that you often get. Of course I noticed when the boss came. He's not a friend of the thin things. The burger was also very delicious. Well covered with cheese, jalapenos, salad, tomato, cucumber, onions and a honey mustard sauce. I really like to eat burgers and every chili burger. Every cook has his own creation. This was just as good as all the other good chili burgers. Sacred and pleasant sharpness. It's so easy to satisfy me. We will also like to visit this location again. "“To Do Lists” I do not need privately. But a few things were for 2018. Force the Eifel and swimming in one of the beautiful Maare. Now in this great summer it was almost mid-August. The weather is still perfect, incredible this year! So planned at short notice: Enjoy Eifel! Friday before a free day for me. Book something quickly! I was taught a better one. In the meantime, Germany is a popular travel country that does not exclude Eifel. They don't wait for us so well! Half a day went on the Internet and phone to find a decent accommodation at short notice. Either booked or not for 1 night Kurfürstlicher Amthof ! At the Sporthotel Grafenwald there was finally a double room. The menu of the hotel restaurant appeals to us. Book or stay at home? So book. € 158,00 the night with breakfast. No bargain in the Eifel. At the later noon the arrival in the spacious sports hotel outside of Daun, surrounded by forest. This is as large as expected, the parking spaces around the hotel are already well occupied. The hotel complex consists of several buildings. This has come clearly into the years as not expected. I've been mulsy. How will our room look? . Arrival according to confirmation from 3 p.m. We've been there in the morning and our room hasn't finished yet, that was okay, we were too early. We asked for a table for lunch, this was easily possible. In the great weather we chose a place on the large outdoor terrace with beer garden seating. As the only guest. The cards were handed by an employee. We chose: 1 regional Gerolsteiner Sprudel, 0,75 l € 5,30 2 large colourful salad plate with smoked Eifeler Bachforelle and horseradish foam € 12,50 Our mineral water was served shortly afterwards. Little later the salad plate. And immediately the puppies... we're actually left there, but they made a business trip for which the hotel can of course nothing. And here we arrived, in the deviated rustic ambience. Few tables still occupied. The tables are properly covered. But all this was very worn out and came very into the years, especially the seat cushions. We did not find our served “big” salad plate in batch size. A flat plate with small divided ready salad mixture. Tomatoes, cucumber slices, corn with carrot rasps. 3 pieces trout fillet max. 1⁄2 small trout on cream horseradish no foam. Freshly from the incense oven the trout did not come, qualitatively no other than a packed trout fillet from the supermarket cooler. This was just so ok for a quick and easy lunch, but not anymore. Clear decision: No dinner at the hotel restaurant for us. On the way to Gemünden Maar I reserved another restaurant in Daun, known to us by phone for the evening. Check-in after a wonderful swimming in the Gemünden Maar was then possible. Holprig and not without us extensively inform about the sports possibilities of the hotel. In the meantime it was 4:30, check out the next day until 11:00. There were no more many sporting opportunities for an overnight stay. This should also be noted by the reception. Our highlight: We got 1 out of 2 of the very numerous newly renovated rooms at the Sporthotel. This was the luck of the sports hotel, and our luck. Room spacious, perfect, modern bright country house style, balcony. The Eifel is subject to rumour that in each guest room the corrosive deer hangs over the bed. Here you stay true, but in modern form: . At least no Jesus on the Mount of Olives: view from the room quiet overnight stay! I saw the unrenovated rooms. At the same price, we would have gone home. The guest rooms are gradually renovated and this is very necessary. Around the hotel there are numerous small cottages, distributed over the spacious complex with old trees. Breakfast next morning was well organized despite many guests, including many families with children. Ordinary buffet with good and fresh selection and a “Eier Backstation . Fresh egg baking station Eggs Omlettbacken as desired. Friendly service staff were sufficient. My choice: Hearty breakfast Breakfast convinced more than lunch. My assessment refers purely to the restaurant visit. For the beautiful, quiet and tastefully renovated room I would award good 4 stars."
