"While on our three week trip to France, we took a private guided tour of the Pays D'Auge area of Normandy. One of our stops was at this lovely tea salon. Since we visited on a cold, slightly rainy May day, we had our tea and cakes inside. We sat in a charming salon inside a typical Norman style house. Here we were served a delicious chocolate cake and apple cake, both homemade. I love chocolate and this was one of the best! My husband ate the apple cake and told me it was delicious. ( I had a small bite and I agree!) Very generous portions! We also tasted home made jam; I bought a jar to give to relatives whom we would see later during our trip. The setting was rural and quiet. Very wonderful break during a nice day out. If you are in the area, this is definitely the place to go for your mid-afternoon snack."
