"In the press I heard about the Alm and since we are ambitious hikers we wanted to link both together. So we hiked the Almluck tour and then expanded it with a visit to the castle Grimburg. Unfortunately, the tour after we left the Wadrill and wandered along the Grimburger Lautenbach was boring and endless. When we arrived at the Alm we had starved and were surprised that in the middle of the week something was going on in the early afternoon. Mostly native. There is no menu and also no culinary big bid. You want to get rid of walkers with simple things. So there was a self-made goulash soup for us. Otherwise I only gave bread and cake. I have to say we were there at Easter and the Alm had just opened in the 2nd week. The soup was excellent. Short and short. You sit there really wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't like the way and after all we're going there well 45min, so it's questionable when we get back there. But if it's gonna happen again! We had paid for the soup by the 6 euros. What I thought at the first moment was awkward but since she was made herself with fresh ingredients was still undeniably moderate. I don't know if there are more choices now. But I asked the owner and she told me that it's not the concept to serve great food and you don't know how many hikers come this day. That's why you just want to offer 1-2 pots, but they're good. Personally, I can live very well with such a concept and would, if the route weren't ready, would often return there."

"After having been back to the Castello Bianco in the Waderner district of Lockweiler last week, I thought it was my duty to make the benefits of the restaurant even bigger (Fan municipality) accessible in this portal. For many years, Josef has been offering a truly ambitious Italian cuisine, as he is lovingly called by his regular guests. The pizza baked in the wood stove is a mandatory part of the menu. The fish and meat dishes offered on the almost always existing supplement card are really great. There is a great fish soup as well as the grilled pulpo or the tasty prepared sardines. Even fresh tuna can be ordered regularly. And besides the normal meat dishes, the cartridge offers an Irish beef off the Argentine steak. During our last visit, I decided for the fish soup, a very well-flung broth with wonderful fresh fish fillets. The pizza bread baked in the wood oven is served in the Castello. My accompaniment ordered the grilled pulpo flavored with olive oil and garlic. Just these dishes live from their simple but stylish preparation. As the main course, it had to be the beef fillet with barolosauce for me this evening, and a vegetable rout was added. Better a fillet cannot be prepared. On the outside, the meat had a perfect cooking point and would have been a revelation even without the sauce. However, the sauce cooked from a barolo and refined with a wonderfully smacked beef fond placed a point on it (Bravo! . That this dish is not exactly a bargain with 29 euros, must not surprise in view of the truly extraordinary quality and preparation. The fact that this main dish can also score with Fois Gras in the variant was shown on the plate of my accompaniment. In the Castello, one of the red wines produced by Josef himself in his homeland is ordered for dinner and is always right. And if the fire burns in the large and very tastefully decorated guest room like this evening in the open fireplace, then there is really not much better to make!"
