This restaurant has a cozy atmosphere! My brunch experience though was less than pleasant. For starters there was a fly in my coffee. I ordered the mama eggs Benedict. I asked for bacon to replace the scrapple but it was burnt. The poached eggs were severely undercooked (the eggs' whites) and cold. The biscuit was tasty but had jelly on it under the egg. Not my preference. The gratuity is included but when you use the QR code to pay, it adds the tip in again which you can remove. Hopefully my experience was a fluke but I will not go again.
I had the catfish po boy and the smoked gouda grits. The catfish po boy was excellent. My picture doesn't do it justice. It's huge! Three or four catfish fillets piled up. The folks next to me asked what it was as they were exiting and I got the impression that they will be back to try it soon. I also had a glass of the smoked old fashioned which they made at the table. Atmosphere warm and cozy. Wait staff were very friendly and checked on me often. I really enjoyed the whole experience!
My daughter made reservations for my birthday and we arrived earlier than expected. We were seated with no problems. We tried several different appetizers including salad (homemade Caesar) and entrees, along with a complimentary Birthday Sangria I rate this place 10/10!! I cannot wait to visit again, atmosphere and staff top notch!! Parking: Not a lot of parking behind restaurant, but street parking was readily available. We only had to walk across the street.
