There was only one person who served at the tables (takes menus that all the people touched with their hands) and who is at the cashier (handles money and cards with her hands) and who prepares drinks (handles vegetables with her hands when you take a smoothie and she centrifuges it), and does all this without using gloves and never washing her hands. You do the math. There was no waitress and the woman at the counter who prepares the smoothies and serves the tables does it all. At least when we were there. We’ve eaten here before and been blown away by the food but it’s lost it’s way. We booked for an early meal it wasn’t busy but the kitchen was more focused on getting the take aways out than looking after those dining. We ordered a side dish it never arrived. We ordered desserts but after over 20 minutes of waiting, in a time when numerous takeouts went out of the door, we had to go. Really disappointed, we traveled across town to eat here but won’t again. Make your minds up, either concentrate on take outs or look after your diners, you clearly can’t do both, which is a real shame.
We went to 222 for lunch today and absolutely loved it. The food is freshly cooked and delicious. My mum and I had the stir fry, hers with tofu and mine with seitan, my 3 year old (eventually! ate his spaghetti and said he liked it. We finished off by sharing the pancake and chocolate gateaux between the 3 of us. The stir fries were really authentic and the spaghetti had a very obviously totally homemade sauce. All I can say is, it's a good thing I don't live very close by as my bank account wouldn't thank me! :
Fantastic, subtle flavours and wholesome portions This tiny vegan restaurant, 222 instantly became one of our favourites with it's large portions, fantastic quality and variety. We tried the soup of the day, another starter and 2 mains (see pictures) and can only praise them! Highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians.

Last visited this place over 10 years ago and glad to see it is still packed and full of delicious meals. Everything is vegan here and very generously priced. I highly recommend the Stroganoff which was delicious.
I have been a patron of this restaurant for approximately four years now. While the timing of food delivery has improved compared to previous visits, the quality of the food still remains a concern.
I've been twice. Both times it was a great experience. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly.
Initial impression: The tables were placed very close together, creating a warm and stuffy atmosphere.
