Very disappointed with last night's visit to the 3 Mangoes. The restaurant has a nice setting, but the food is very average. Entrees: fish cakes (not bad, but over cooked), coconut prawns (terribly over cooked and flavourless), and vegetarian fresh rolls (average, not much flavour). Mains: BBQ lamb (tough and chewy), Basil crispy pork (pork not crispy, tiny amount of pork for the money), and king prawn with cashew sauce (best meal of the lot, but still just standard Thai fare). We chose this restaurant because we were catching up with friends and wanted somewhere quiet on the Enmore Road strip. On arrival we were the only diners in the large area at the back; by the time we left an hour later, there was one other couple in the restaurant. Of the dishes we ordered only the pad thai and soft shell crab were vaguely Thai. The emerald duck and crispy pork belly were more reminiscent of Chinese style cooking and the latter was so salty I could barely eat it. On the plus side, the service was courteous, the food came quickly and was reasonably priced. Perhaps by pruning the menu a bit the restaurant can find an identity and stick with it.

I tried this restaurance once and I would not come back for the following reasons:
Prices on the menu were misleading. They charged my group extra $1 dollar for each plate, because the prices the menu were for take away. Dine-in would be $1 extra.
The service was terrible.
Plates were full of dust. We requested for other plates, but it was all the same.
The food was average.

Warning give this place a miss. Four of us went there last night and it was **** horrible. The food was tasteless and had no love at all. The dish cloth in the kitchen would have had more flavour in it. Even if it was free it would have been overpriced.
Great food and quick service. Wonderful for those that need a quick bite to eat before going to the Enmore for a show. BYO and the bottleo is just across the road.
I'm not a fan of curries but it was tasty one, comparable to similar places on the same street. Please be careful the green one is not so mild :) Prices are fine.
