We were incredibly disappointed by the food and service at this restaurant. Despite being loyal customers for 20 years, we will no longer be returning. The wait staff is completely new and either poorly trained or simply lacking a service-oriented mindset. Our meal got off to a bad start when our waiter accidentally spilled a whole glass of water on me, then made a flippant remark about dessert being on him without even apologizing. There was no visit from the manager or any other attempt to make amends. The food itself was subpar - the mussels were small and tough, and the white wine was served at room temperature. We couldn't wait to leave. It's a shame to see a once beloved restaurant los...
We really enjoyed our dining experience with the exception of the decision to put our party of five at a table that fit four. We asked for a table change and were told they were very busy. We made our reservation a month in advance! Next time I would book a table for six. The food was very delicious and the service was exceptional. We’ll be back if we have a smaller or larger party. The same size table set a party of two next to us!
Great food and wine felt like our waitress Autum was very good , did not have a long wait for anything It was my birthday and we were assigned a table for 4 by the back near the kitchen , I asked if I could please be moved to a booth ..At 73 it was so nice to get that special treatment of kindness to be moved to an ideal spot. Then I got an amazing yummy dessert for free!! Great birthday experience .
Still a great place, but sadly seemed a little tired around the edges. Last time I dined at Rue de Jean was in And it was a bright shining star on the food scene here in Charleston.

Love the atmosphere and overall experience. Great wine and good food. I have my eyes on the spare rib next time. They were out of a few things but want to go again.
We enjoyed our meal. Food was excellent and served in a timely fashion. However, conversation among guests is almost impossible. The noise level is extreme.
App which was escargot a bit disappointing did not like the garlic sauce, a bit thin. Entree was very good, service was spot on and wine was a winner
