My 5th Tavern experience started rocky. We had a reservation for five and the hostess sat the least ideal place in the house. It was right on the way of the servers and moats, coming and going. After ten minutes of waiting, a gentleman passes and offers water until our main server has recognized us. When our waitress arrives, she brings back lemonade, she sits on the table and goes away without a simple greeting. At this point we asked another server that quickly hosted a new table for us. When the evening went on, our new waiter turned around us with his courtesy and hospitality. Overall I liked the decor and mood of the restaurant. But the food was decent. I ordered a chicken Alfredo court...
We visited early Saturday afternoon at 3:00. The bar area was full and loud. We chose the dining area. I understand why most people were in the bar, the drinks were on the point. The premium margarita and the some gods I give 5 thumbs to 10. My guest and I sat for 15 minutes or more and thought about whether we would stay before someone came by and asked if we waited.(The reason for 4 stars) The server was very nice and the portion size of my Quesadillas was enough for two or three people and the bread was hot and delicious. Yes, I go back; their prices are very reasonable.
My husband and I went to dinner with my grandmother and her boyfriend. It was mine and my husband's first time there and we'll be back!!! The food was great.. I only give 4 starts though, because it was really loud, so it was difficult to have a conversation and the lack of service our waitress never came to check us after we gave ourselves our food, then we sat up there just waiting for them to bring our check. But otherwise it was rust and I would recommend it only on a weekday!!
For the first time in 5. Tavern fed and overall we had a good experience. Food and service were good. The restaurant was clean with a beautiful atmosphere. You have to try their Zip Burger. The zip sauce was so delicious! Yum!
