I am pretty shocked at the high ratings here. The atmosphere was good, the food was decent, the service was non existent at the rooftop bar.Atmosphere loved the rooftop, great breeze, nice views, very chill. The inside looked nice!Food the Burger and taco were great. The popcorn chicken was meh. The crab dip I would not recommend or order again, it was a very thick cream with little crab and not a ton of flavor.Service I can’t say it was bad, it was just non existent. Nobody greeted us when we walked in or acknowledged that we had sat down (and it was slow when we arrived). We had to go up to the bar and get the attention of the bartenders (who were hanging out, not working) to get menus. We...

Shared a nice bottemless brunch with my friends. 801 was great about reservations and checking in for final counts. The location is ideal on U street as there are many other bars or restaurants to hit after. It was convenient to have access to sparkling wine ourselves for self pouring with multiple flavors to choose from, for pretty cheap too! Servers are attentive with bottomless, bringing over fresh sparkling wine and juices when needed. Other brunchy or regular cocktails are also available.Food was good and inexpensive, with a variety of classic American breakfast dishes; eggs, bacon, sausage waffles etc. as well as burgers and steaks. It is convenient to split the tab as there was a QR cod...

I have to admit, I was initially hesitant about this restaurant, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised! I decided to play it safe with the French toast, and it was fantastic! They don’t use the usual Texas toast, which I actually appreciated. I added bacon because I can’t resist it! The establishment has three stories, and they seated us outside, which meant we had to settle for a spot at the bar. Unfortunately, if we wanted an indoor table, we would have had to wait another 30 minutes, and since we didn’t choose to sit outside, it was a bit frustrating—especially with the rain. Overall, though, the experience was good. However, our second bartender was not very friendly at all; it was o...

When I asked for plates, I was denied. I requested more drinks, but they never arrived, although I noticed they were included on the bill. It was frustrating to see the server look at us and then choose to assist the tables around us instead. To add insult to injury, we were charged an automatic 20% tip, which meant Kiah had no incentive to provide good service. I've never felt so blatantly ignored before, and this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. We ended up leaving to find food elsewhere. As a local resident of Shaw, I won't be returning and would advise others to steer clear as well. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Book a table now

If you're looking for decently priced brunch with bottomless mimosas, this is a perfect option. There's 3 floors here with the top floor being the rooftop. Our table ordered the brisket hash, steak eggs and eggs Chesapeake. The eggs Chesapeake was good the crab cake was mostly crab, not a lot of filler which was a plus! The steak eggs surprisingly lacked flavor without the chimichurri but once you add it, it was decent. We didn't get bottomless mimosas but I did order a singular mimosa which was a good size with a pretty reasonable OJ/champagne ratio.

Visited this establishment for happy hour and I must say the food was very good. The drinks were also pretty strong. I opened for sitting at the bar because I appreciate how quick bar service can be. I asked the bartender for some suggestions and he didn't steer me wrong. Would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a happy hour spot.

The view from the top is breathtaking. We visited on a hot, sunny Sunday, and the restaurant was bustling with people, which created a lively atmosphere. However, the drinks were of subpar quality, although quite affordable. I would be willing to give it another chance.
