The restaurant is quite nice and appears clean. The staff is quick to prepare your food. However, the standout feature should be the coffee, as it is marketed as a café. The quality of the coffee seems to depend on who is behind the counter. When the Latino guy was working at the register, the Colombian coffee and espresso were excellent, but the next day it was a waste of money. The older gentleman at the deli may come across as unapproachable, but he is actually what keeps this place going, and I’ve come to appreciate him. I ended up spending an entire week visiting for breakfast or brunch.
We visited this restaurant every night during our two-night stay at the Sheraton Hotel, and unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. On our first night, we arrived well before closing time, but the older gentleman at the front counter, presumably the owner, turned us away with a rude attitude. On the second night, we arrived even earlier for dinner, but no one greeted us upon entering. The same older gentleman simply gave us a cold look when we inquired about purchasing desserts, while he greeted the following customers with a warm demeanor.
The restaurant offers an excellent selection and has a relaxed atmosphere. Prices range from affordable to quite high. It's a good spot for breakfast and simple sandwiches. The brisket was outstanding and came in a generous portion, but it was priced at $25, which was unexpected since there was no price listed. Despite that surprise, I would definitely return.

Consistently excellent! I make it a point to stop by 801 Deli whenever I'm in the City, and I always try something new. The service is fantastic, the selection is unmatched, and the food is simply delicious! It's a must-visit spot in Manhattan.
