We went to this restaurant last week (Tuesday) with my parents-in-law. We remembered a visit to the place about an year ago when we had enjoyed the food and thought we should revisit the restaurant. But we were in for a shock! We all ordered different items for the first course, mains and desserts, but were really disappointed with the food. Some of the courses - like our fish or our daughter's burger had cold, soggy accompaniments which were clearly stale. The service was also nothing to write home about. The only thing that justified its price all evening was the bottle of wine. The couple next to us had a large row with the service personnel about the fact that there were no toddler chair...
Booked here for a party of four because had been informed that there was a new tenant and new chef and because of the magnificent view this restaurant enjoys. We found the service terrible, only 3 staff to service a full restaurant, the filets de perches were ok but the sole meunière fried until they were entirely dry and when I saw one waiter serve and prepare the filets at another table, he was so clumsy that we asked to be served the entire soles on our plates and not just the filets. The fries that were confirmed to be house made were not but just deepfrozen stuff every one can by him or herself in the supermarket. I booked a table for 7 people (family event) for Easter Monday. The booking was made 3 weeks before the event and reconfirmed by phone on the day. When we arrived we were offered two menus including either filets de perches or entrecôte de boeuf, with the same sauce and for the same price. The usual wide selection was not available because it was Easter Monday. Nobody mentioned this limitation to me when I booked and reconfirmed the reservation. Worse of all, I sent an e-mail to the restaurant after the event (sharing my deep disappointment) and I did not even get a reply! This is not good.
Came here for dinner (open at 18:30) with business colleagues. The place is very nice with a good view of Geneva lake from the balcony.They offer few options for starter and main course. I can recommend the carpaccio and the tomato salads. The steak fillet was good, the veal medallions were less successful. All the desserts are amazing, the chocolate burger was a real surprise and looks so nice and of course tasty-recommended.With glass of wine you are coming to about 100 CHF for a person, but we really enjoyed it. We ate here yesterday evening with friends “la chasse”. The starter, ravioli de lièvre, was mouthwater; the Chevreuil was delicious, served with all the usual sides, and the Dessert Superb. The wine from the village white and red was beautiful. Friendly and efficient staff attended a very pleasant evening. It was the first time for us in this restaurant, but definitely not the last. Very recommended.
Sitting on the terrace of this village restaurant is magical as you have an unobstructed view over Lake Geneva. The food is good, a bit rich for my taste, service is friendly albeit a tad slow when they are busy which is most of the time! You must book a table as they are mostly full!
Beautiful location with a magnificent terrace overlooking the lake. Lunch menu is a good choice and price. The tables are always full and there is a nice atmosphere to chat with all. The servers were very friendly.
It's my second time in the restaurant, food is really good, the views to the lake are fantastic and the place is really nice. Service though is little slow, if you are not in a hurry this is the place to come. Book a table now
Near the lake, but we had fish from Ireland. Beautiful and large terrace outside, it is located in a very bucolic village in the French speaking left of Switzerland.
