"We stayed a few nights in Hazebrouck. The hotel had a bar, but the owner seemed hesitant to open, we decided to go to the marketplace in Hazebrouck. The Abbaye Grimbergen stands in the left corner with the back against the council building. The Abbaye was friendly and as we have done our best effort to order some drinks with our Pidgin franc, the Barmann has not let us feel intimidated. We all at our party had a visit to order the next round. The whole place is lively, but friendly. Try the beer of the month. When we were there, “Belzebuth” was a blonde camp with a strength of 8%. It was very good. Then we were presented with a plate of bread and cheese and pate, into which we were heartily...

We were staying for a couple of nights in Hazebrouck. The hotel had a bar but the owner seemed reluctant to open it we decided to go into the Market square in Hazebrouck. Standing with your back against the council building the Abbaye Grimbergen is in the far left hand corner. The Abbaye was friendly and as we made our best effort to order some drinks with our pidgin french the bar man didn’t make us feel intimidated. All of us in our party had a go at ordering the next rounds. The whole place is lively but friendly. Try the beer of the month.
