Based on the opinion of an internet user posted in January 2013, we went to the abreuvoir mi août en famille... Catastrophe !! The place is like the owner: you should think of a serious facade tie and rethink the decoration! Get back from a few regulars, stuck at the counter, and expressing themselves louder and stronger at the ricards that the patroness serves heartily when she does not eat lipstick... The dishes were correct. We would have enjoyed a 2nd plate of Berthoud and a more copyy charcuterie plate, as is done in other local restaurants, especially for 18€ per person!!
We stopped there on the advice of a famous guide to go to lunch one noon this week of July 14. What a disappointment: a difficult place to find and disgusting decoy. When we asked for the menu to eat, I was told there was no. Yet there is written snack restaurant in yellow neon on the facade, right?! We took a coke and a syrup of tap water please that we rushed to drink just to break up! We didn't see anything, nor the atmosphere described, or the good little snacks promised... After desperately looking for a soul that lives in Châtel this Sunday evening, and after walking our dog by the lake of Vonnes, we entered this little bar whose atmosphere seemed to be very friendly. What a surprise to be welcomed so!!! The guests put the mood, the music flows to the water and Ginette enters the stage on board his space football... good, dream of fun... Ginette and his team, that is to say all his faithful customers, made us spend a wonderful evening! Thank you very much, you make us want to come back!
CHEZ GINETTE, the most unusual restaurant bistro of chalel. She finds herself friends yes and the deco is old but it remains a must of chalet. Boss Ginette is a monumental . The savoyard fondue with charcuterie is a slaughter. Hard to find better' Quality and quantity. If you look for the class don't come here, if you want to eat and find friends, stop yourself.The boss is a Lady.
Time and years pass fast .... very fast. But I never forgot Ginette's warm welcome, her divine cuisine, her lively atmosphere and the belote parts played together. I am happy to be the number one to put 5 stars to this cottage that for me has always been and will always be the best of Châtel. I plan to come back in May 2019 and I'm sure nothing and no one has changed, soon.
