I was surprised that this place has not been mentioned in Trip Advisor so far. It is one of the restaurants that visit the family usually on special occasions, such as close friends or birthday parties and/or similar events. The house itself is about 260 years old completely renovated place with very special charm. As far as I know, they also offer few hotel rooms. Travelling to Schwarzenberg leads through romantic villages in NW of Austria known as Vorarlberg. Only 5 km from the hotel is one of the beautiful ski resorts in NW Austria. The trip is worth excellent food, simple, but tasty, as good chefs would say. Try it

When one of our parties complained about the amount of salt and strange flavors in their meat dish, the owner told us in an honest way that they do not agree with our assessment that their chefs cook fine food. The article was canceled by the invoice, but no replacement was offered. We shared what we had, so no one had to be hungry. Only the waitress seemed a bit more embarrassing than we did. Obviously not the kind of behavior you expect from a restaurant that targets GM quality (and prices) and a great shame because everything else was beautiful.

Arrived for lunch shortly after the kitchen had closed. No problem, happy to serve us even when one of our party of three then asked to go off menu, schnitzel and chips, he was delighted - best ever eaten. We had the Kasspatzle, once again very good, very filling.Service was polite, friendly and prompt.As a lunchtime venue we found no fault would happily revisit.Recommended.

First, the food quality is delicious and the service is very attentive. We were all impressed and visited the eagle again in the area.
Great taste and warm atmosphere. Nice selection of meals. Cozy and traditional seating areas. Excellent service.
