Disappointing experience at Skeabost. We were excited for afternoon tea but it fell short of our expectations. Dirty cups, had to request clean ones. Sandwich bread was tough, returned it with no replacement. Slow service, had to ask for our tea and coffee. Overrated, overpriced, underwhelming. Not worth £24.50 per person. We received a refund for our drinks after complaining to the manager. Skeabost needs to improve. There are better options on Skye to explore.
The staff were very nice, welcoming and helpful. A beautiful room with a roaring fire. But the afternoon tea itself was very disappointing. Very poor selection of and amount of sandwiches: three finger sandwiches each, cheese and pickle or egg mayonnaise. Also a poor selection of cakes. It felt like they were unprepared to provide this service during the winter months, as we had a very pleasant experience during the summer.
we have booked the afternoon to celebrate the birthday of my brother who falls on the Valentine's Day. the hotel contacted me to ask if we prefer not to have it, it was valentine themed, as it was a birthday party, this thoughtful act was very appreciated. we all had a very pleasant meal, beautiful location with courtesy and helpful staff . we will definitely return.

what a wonderful environment for afternoon tea. the teeservice was excellent, I think we drank a pot between us five. they just arrived! about 15 minutes (5 miles) outside portree to a magnificent location in the worth of the short trip.
We had a fantastic afternoon tea at this beautiful place. Lovely greeting on arrival and friendly service throughout. The food was delicious and very good value for money. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend.
