My family and I have been long time customers at this restaurant and had been so frequently that the waiters came to recognize us. Friday, November 11th though, while having dinner, I found a piece of GLASS in one of the pieces of sushi. When this was brought to the waiters attention, he merely claimed that it wasn't possible for glass to have gotten in because there was no glass stored in the kitchen. This is not only horrible customer service, but also a hazard to the public's health. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

when you are invited in a sushi restaurant and you don't eat it, this is what the review is about. a group of 20 reservation for 6.00pm and we are out before 10.00pm on a week night I say pretty good. the service was really good the main menu and a la carte sushi menu, the filet mignon was out of this world the vegetable plenty and the rice what more can you say. The people that ordered the sushi were really impress they said you know you are at a real sushi when it taste like it amazing

Tried the table d'hôte for the first time and was delighted with my choice. Salad was small and refreshing, main course of three different chef's specials were not only beautiful to look at but delicious and different. Dessert was a real treat - wonderful chocolate mousse with just the right amount of vanilla ice cream. Aikawa has always been a favourite of mine and last night they proved that they still are! I will be going back!

Last minute decision to go out for sushi. Couldn't get a table at the more popular sushi resto and having passed Aikawa several times just behind Maiko my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised. Great menu, not as expensive as other similar places, excellent fast service, nice and reasonable wine list. Food was fresh and the 42 piece assortment was varied. Will definitely return. A very nice setting and decor to create an ambiance for a good restaurant. Service was very good and the food was excellent. When the owner cares enough to be on site, work and supervise, the quality becomes very easily noticeable for the client.I loved this Sushi place; way above standard practice of many sushi restaurants.

Whether takeout or eat in this restaurant is definitely one of our favorites. The presentation of the food in the dining room is exceptional, beautiful even for takeout. ingredients always fresh, staff always VERY attentive and professional. The plates vary in prices, the chef specialties are amazing to sight and taste.

We went on a Tuesday night. The place was not busy but there was a good number of folks. I had the Bento special and what a wonderful combination of teriyaki, sushi and vegetables. My wife had the Queen of the Sea platter. Very good food. The sake was good and made the meal very enjoyable

This is far and away the best sushi in the West Island; exceptional decor with relatively private tables and knowledgeable service. Owner often on the floor and happy to give helpful suggestions.Food quality is exceptional; wide range of tastes and unique dishes, all worth a try. Book a table now

Aikawa was a recommendation by the hotel staff. It was close and easy to get into. The food tasted good and was nicely arranged, but I am used to my sushi being composed of solid pieces. Aikawa created tasty food, but most of the meat was pureed, more like baby food.
