I live right around the corner im front of Madonna church and have been a Fort Lee resident since 2003. I used to come here when it was a Korean side dish store called Surakan so have been in this area for a long time.My wife and I came here a few times and while the food is medicore for the price it always came out fast. However like other people stated the service is horrendous. i walked in and the sushi chef didn't even greet me but glared at me because I walked in with my dog. I immediately asked if it was okay and said I would order takeout in front of the door but just couldn't shake the way the guy just glared at me out of my head. I ended up not ordering, going back gome and calling...

I recently ordered from Akasaka this past weekend and I have to say this might be my new favorite sushi place. I ordered the sushi roll platter to share with a few friends and we all agreed that the rolls and sashimi tasted so fresh. They were so accommodating when I asked to get toro sushi (for an additional fee) in the platter instead. Their miso soup was seasoned perfectly, not too bland or salty. Also, I love how they gave us plenty of wasabi and ginger. Support your local business and order from Akasaka!

Too expensive for its location and quality. I paid $18 for Lunch Menu box. The sushi is small, and very average. The Miso soup had nothing in it, no sea weed, no tofu etc. I understand that a sushi chef prepares it fresh, but so do others in the surrounding area and they charge around $14-15 for MORE food. Paying nearly $20 to walk away and be hungry 2 hrs later is not good.

This restaurant looks like Japanese, but I as a Japanese feel something funny. I just tell that it is not authentic Japanese food. I can accept the Korean like food. It is not bad.A Japanese restaurant that has been around for a long time. A famous restaurant that combines nostalgia and energy. It is Japanese-run. Book a table now

The sushi chef was rude, and the staff wasn't very friendly either. I was looking forward to trying their sushi, but I ended up walking out with my husband. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're seeking a welcoming atmosphere.

The sushi and ramen are delicious. It's a beautiful place to visit, perfect for a romantic outing with your partner.

A picture is worth a thousand words! I ordered a small platter, and it was more than enough to satisfy both of us.
