We hosted the party in the central hall, which provided plenty of space, and the food setup was fantastic. There was a supervisor and two staff members at the bar who assisted us throughout the party. The layout for appetizers and the main course+dessert was well thought out, allowing guests to enjoy snacks before diving into the main dishes. I celebrated my daughter's 1st birthday at Akbar Restaurant on July 18, 2021, and I can't praise them enough. The staff, manager, owners, and chef were all exceptional, and everything turned out beautifully. The garden's outdoor venue is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this location for any event. We've also hosted my nephew's birthday and other family gatherings in the indoor hall, and every experience has been flawless. They are incredibly accommodating and truly attentive to your needs. We came here at the recommendation of a friend. Driving up we were very tempted to go elsewhere. Tucked away behind a low-end hotel, it really is an unappealing location. However, inside it was busy with a massive party and individual diners. The food was very good! The service was pleasant also, though for some reason the dishes cam out one at a time with no real order.
The Royal Mughal offers a delightful Indian ambiance with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available. It's a spacious venue that is well-maintained and features humble staff members. The food is incredibly tasty. We made a reservation over the phone, and they also have party halls and banquet facilities. Overall, we had a wonderful time!
The food at the Sunday buffet was stale and tasted like leftover non-vegetarian dishes from a party. With only a limited selection for $22, it felt overpriced, especially with an additional 18% service charge added on. The soft drinks were also quite expensive for the portion size. Overall, it was one of my worst dining experiences in NJ.
I really enjoyed my time here—the food is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. However, if you’re not a fan of sweet things, I advise you to skip dessert; it’s incredibly sweet! Seriously. Will I return? Definitely, but I’ll avoid the dessert next time. Thank you!
