Came out here to celebrate several birthdays (my cousins and I share birthdays within a week of each other) with a couple family members. We originally came for the sushi, but ordered several chinese dishes at the recommendation of our server. Our chinese dishes came first. The shrimp and broccoli and stir fry lamb were pretty average, although the latter was a bit off with the seasoning. Typical takeout food in my opinion. Next was the boiled fish in hot chili oil. Open secret amongst Koreans that this place is the BEST for sushi. My family always opted for the well-priced lunch special for years. We went in-person for the first today and discovered that it specializes in Szechuan food. (Also according to some Google reviewer, the chef used to work at some Michelin started restaurant in Manhattan?! Haven't verified.. This place is damn good. Huge booth seating areas... We got dan dan noodles this time along w spicy tuna roll and pineapple fried rice. Really balanced, clean, mala spice oil. Good noodles. Need to try more Szechuan menu. Ordering and delivery process was good- food took 50 min to arrive on a Friday night. Food unfortunately was such a disappointment- Mapo tofu top of the container had a good inch of oil- Salmón teriyaki dish was extremely overcooked and dry although I specifically called the restaurant after placing an online order to request a medium rare salmon) kids had cereal for dinner. The calamari appetizer was extra small, the pieces hard and salty. The person who I talked to was nice and apologized about the food and offered credit for our next purchase. Unfortunately, we will never order from this restaurant again
I initially planned to eat at Joju for lunch, but they were unexpectedly closed. Instead, I decided to try Aki for some sushi. I opted for their sushi sashimi lunch ($15), which included 5 pieces of nigiri, 7 pieces of sashimi, and a California roll. The fish was fresh and the rice was well seasoned, but it took a long time for my order to be ready. Another customer even had to cancel her order due to the wait. Because of this, I am deducting a star from my review. I also noticed that they offer Szechuan lunch specials, which I may try next time. Note: There is a $15 credit card minimum at this restaurant.

It's a hidden low key place with really good Japanese and Chinese food. Our go to place when we want to have sushi and Chinese food. Staff is efficient and friendly. Food is great. We ordered calamari, dumplings, edamame, steak teriyaki, chicken Katsu and chicken with peppers, California rolls, the first time we came. The steak teriyaki was really good, best one yet. Their Chinese food was great as well. We've gone back a few more times and food is always consistent. Sometimes the food comes out a bit later due to the shear volume of take out orders, not a big deal for us.
We tried them for Chinese takeout and found it to be the best Chinese food in port Washington. We the decided to have dinner at the restaurant. 1 we walked in 2 the woman at the front desk ignored us 3 she then looked up from her phone and grunted take seat anywhere 4 all the tables were empty and had no place settings 5 no one came by with a menu, water, or place settings 6 we got up and left 7 the woman at the front desk looked up from her phone and grunted have a nice evening I won 't even order takeout from them again.
Whenever I order from Aki through a delivery app like DoorDash or Uber Eats, the food is never ready on time. I consistently have to wait 10-15 minutes, which can be a bit frustrating. However, the staff is very friendly and accommodating, often offering me a complimentary drink or snack to make up for the delay. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant, but I typically opt for takeout. Aki offers a great lunch special with a reasonable price and a diverse selection of sushi rolls.
We often order takeout from this restaurant, but have never dined in. The food is consistently delicious, with no complaints in that department. The ambiance is a bit dark for my taste, but it has a modern feel with a lot of black decor. It may be a bit outdated, but it's acceptable considering the quality of the food and reasonable prices. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. While there is no parking lot, street parking is usually available.

Ordered from here twice and each time the sushi was fresh and delicious! My first order I accidentally ordered soooo much food. I got the bento box with the sushi side/ seaweed salad. i thought you had to pay an extra $10 to choose a special roll so I ended up ordering 2 mini sushi burritos but didn't realize it already came with a raw sushi. All in all I made 2 great meals out of that order and it did not disappoint!
