Every time we order something, the order is missing. Last order were the lamb juices with potato, the potato was missing. The time before was the gyro plate and the gyro meat was missing. This time it is a large Greek salad with gyro meat and again, gyro meat is missing. I really can't defend this place. It?s so incredibly disappointing to drive all the way to this place, or to have delivered it because you have a sick family member and can?t to them only for the whole order, be consistent wrong, especially if you spend so much money every time.
Been getting food here for a long time. It has been awhile since I have been here. They did not disappoint. Had the Gyro with Fries. The server brought out some Pita bread and chick peas as an appetizer. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly. Great place to dine. I highly, highly recommend Akropolis to everyone. Good to see Lucas again. Great guy. I wish there was more then 5 stars. See you guys next time I am in town.
We eaten from here 2 times and both times have led to me in a fetal position for HOURS! What's in your Gyro man? I come from Astoria, where we have a lot of gyro spots and never have pain like this in my stomach and my 2.5 y/o, which never weeps, is so gassy and crying. The Gyro meat is thick and rough, the pommes were hard and cold, almost as they were fried three times and the chicken fingers were soggy and rubbery! I'm sorry, but I'm honest.
I wish I could give 10 stars! One of my favorite Greek restaurants! Food is cooked for perfection and fresh. My favorite is the chicken urganata. Portions are huge and the service is great. The owner is friendly. The sick peas and the pita you get when you sit back are so delicious!
