Came here on May 22nd for dinner with a friend. Food was just decent, overpriced for what you get. My friend used to come here often for lunch and said their hummus is not as good as it used to be, and portions noticeably smaller. Server was very sweet. For some reason, there was no tap water available for dine-in at the tables. It was something like $4 or $5 for a drink, canned soda or bottled water (not any fancy kind, either). This is the first time I've ever encountered a sit down restaurant in NYC that has no tap water provided for customers. Would never come back.
Omar's is truly one of the top places to check out in New York City. The prices are fantastic, and the portion sizes are generous, making it an incredible value for your money. However, what really distinguishes Omar's is the exceptional taste of the food. From the appetizers to the entrees and desserts, every dish is packed with flavor and skillfully crafted. As someone who doesn't often write reviews, I feel it’s important to acknowledge Omar's and the praise it deserves. It's a must-visit destination in the city!
Omar’s is fantastic! It’s a lively, casual order-at-the-counter restaurant that offers authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, including falafel and shawarma. The service is quick and efficient, making it an excellent choice for lunch. You can either order to go or enjoy your meal in the dining area located at the back of the restaurant. The veggie combo is particularly delicious and satisfying. The staff is friendly, and the food is truly tasty.
Truly .. one of the best Mediterranean dishes I've had in my life. Hummus was so rich and creamy, the baba ganoush was SO FLAVORFUL. It was my favorite thing on the plate. They also provided complimentary pita bread and 3 sauces for my table. Stuffing all my stuff into my pita and getting a bite of everything was heaven. Also they gave a small complimentary dessert!

Absolutely amazing! I ordered the pita shawarma along with baklava and a side of eggplant. The food was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere had a Middle Eastern vibe that made me feel right at home. I will definitely be coming back. Food: 5/5
Good place, friendly staff and delicious food. Maybe about 10 tables, brisk take out business. Lamb Adana or kebobs were excellent. Eggplant, fries and hummus also tasty. Greek salad had hot peppers... That was a surprise but all good.Food: 5/5
I had lunch delivered for the 1st time from this location. The food was excellent. Real mediterranean flavors. They even added a baklava!It's in the little details where the memorable experiences are made.
Best schwarma I've ever had. Period. Everything from the sauces to the chicken was just perfect. Everyone in there is just so nice. The complimentary little piece of baklava they give you is a nice touch.

the lamb is good. the pita is good. the pita dipped in hummus is gassed. but be careful about eating this at work, it will make you feel really drowsy and tired.
