My parents drove an hour to get their favorite subs from this place unfortunately they forgot two of the subs we called back and I was there listening to the whole call and unfortunately the lady just didn’t sound like she cared at all, I’m a small business owner and I would’ve for sure offered something like hey do you wanna bag of chips or a buy one get one sub, didn’t even get I’m sorry about that, being a small business owner I’m not gonna one star you, because I know how bad that can affect a business but I will keep this two star up as a lesson. By the way how do you charge $25? For 3 cookies and a sub???
Detroit native living in Texas I wanted a corned beef sandwich before leaving Chicago. Went in ordered 2 mile high sandwiches for me and my boyfriend before heading to the airport. I wanted to taste the sandwiches to make sure they would hit. I only got corned beef from Detroit and my favorites are from coney islands. We took one bite of this sandwich turned around and got 2 more. The corned beef melts like butter sandwiches are amazing
Have lived literally around the corner from AL Joe's for 39 years. Their subs are the best around. Driven to FL and flown to CA with them. The bread, Italian meats and cheese always fresh. Same location since 1960. Know the owners personally. Walk, run or drive but get there ASAP. You will not be disappointed at all.
They make big sandwiches. This includes the mile high cornbeef sandwich. It's big. You tell them to pack it on and they pack it on.(For an extra price of course) They get very busy from 12 to 2 pm. You can sit in or outside to eat. They've got desserts there as well like canoli. Good variety of foods. Book a table now

First and last time there. Hardly anything on the sandwich got the turkey sub. 5 bites and the sub was gone. Pricey is an understatement.
