Was concerned about this visit but gave it a go. Really love Lebanese cuisine so took the risk. Restaurant looked fairly busy so took this as a good sign. Was seated immediately. Server was fairly pleasant , gave us menu. Noticed no alcohol under drinks section, enquired with server who explained would need to purchase from over the road. Happy with this as so much cheaper. We ordered the set meal for 2 £59. Starter dishes served in good time and was really delicious. The second part mixed grill never arrived, we asked to pay bill and have the desert boxed up. We was apologized to and were given the meat dish boxed up plus the sweet. They were extremely busy with take outs which obviously to...

Al Masar is a delight! From the prompt service to a cosy atmosphere with the fragrance of fine food in the air, it satisfies every sense. We tried the Sambousek Cheese, Falafel, Mixed Grills, Lebanese Rice, and Baklava. The restaurant served flatbread alongside. Everything was fresh and flavourful, with the falafel being the best I had tried in a while. While the restaurant does not serve alcohol, it permits guests to bring in their own as an accompaniment to the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Al Masar and plan to return often. PS: Don't skip on the Baklava — it is a selection of several types, and just a very enjoyable and unique culinary experience.

We have visited this restaurant once a year for a number of years (except through covid). It has always been a highlight of our August stay for Excel Centre. We always have the Set Menu Selection for 2 Person (Max. 2 Persons) £55 Hommos, moutabal, tabbouleh, falafel, soujok, batata harra, jawaneh followed by mixed grills and Lebanese sweets (baklava). Absolutely delicious.. very good portion sizing... service excellent and as it is an unlicensed restaurant you can buy a bottle of vino from the opposite side of road (tesco/nisa) at a good price to accompany your meal. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again next summer when in London.

Had a great visit. Pleasant staff. The foul moudamas is a great warm mezza, with mixed beans and chick peas, beautifully flavoured and coming with thin flatbreads. The mains outdid this. The chicken shish taouk is basically charcoal grilled chicken kebabs, but marinated first, coming with salad and pickles. Never had okra stew before, but it was fabulous, subtly flavoured, and nut chewy as have had okra in the past. Superb. It seems to be a Muslim restaurant, with no alcohol for sale, but that didn't detract. Some guests seemed to have brought wine, which nobody seemed bothered about. Rushing back when next in the area. This restaurant offers overpriced and terrible takeaway options. The collection process was chaotic, with numerous couriers waiting and bags of food sitting on a table getting cold. The salad was a soggy mess and the expensive kebab lacked any appealing trimmings. Spending over £20 for bread, a soggy salad, and a skewer of meat was not worth it. I will not be returning.

Fantastic food very helpful pleasant staff. We attended an event at the Excel and ended up eating here for 2 nights we were so impressed. The waiter Sari deserves a massive mention as he was very friendly helpful. Would highly recommend.

We decided to try having a vegetarian night at this restaurant and we are so glad we did! We mainly had cold appetizers and okra as our main dish. I'm actually considering becoming a vegetarian now, hehe. Book a table now

I wanted to thank you for the incredible Roasted Lamb! It was extremely tender and juicy - honestly, I haven't had better roasted lamb anywhere else! Thank you, Corina, you truly are the best.
