Last night was our first experience eating Chinese food from Alamo Palace. It was take-out and after traveling a short distance home, the food was exceptionally fresh and not all mushed together. A few items were packaged separately so as to preserve its freshness avoid saturation. We especially enjoyed the Mu Shu pork and the Honey Walnut Chicken. Over the Covid months we 've eaten take-out from Uncle Yu 's and PF Chang 's and neither one compared in any way to meal we had last night from Alamo Palace! If you take this recommendation eat there, we hope you enjoy your meal as much as we did.

I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered takeout: hot and sour soup for myself and BBQ pork chow mein for my husband. Unfortunately, the soup was extremely sweet, almost as if corn syrup had been added, and it had a rancid smell and taste. I ended up throwing it away. The chow mein was slightly better, but it was still not great. I won’t be returning.

Consistently excellent. The food is always fresh and delicious. Their lunch specials offer fantastic value, such as Sweet and Sour Prawns with rice, appetizers, and a fortune cookie for just $12.45. The service is consistently efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this place for authentic Chinese cuisine. They also offer plenty of take-out options.

I have been coming here for over 30 years and while the owners may have changed, the food has remained consistently delicious. Leo is the current owner and very welcoming. Definitely must get the hot sour soup. I'm also a big fan of the Chinese chicken salad, lemon chicken, and deluxe pan fried chow mein. You won't be disappointed. Book a table now

Honestly, I've had better Chinese food but only in San Francisco Chinatown. For the East Bay, this is my favorite place. I appreciate the quiet dining room, conducive to conversation. Service is always unobtrusive and professional. Food is very good. Never had anything I wouldn't happily order again.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. There have been a lot of changes throughout the years, and some visits are better than others, but this time the food was really delicious! Mushu Pork was especially good this visit!

I'm vegan and this is my #1 Chinese café in the city. I love their tofu dishes kung pao tofu is really astonishing. I would likewise suggest the soup (hot and acrid) and the moo shu. Henry's in awesome!

My wife told me she'd heard good reviews of Alamo Palace. I took two friends there for lunch and it was mediocre. Food okay but ambiance is pretty sad. Book a table now

Some dishes were fantastic, while others were a bit strange and not very enjoyable. I'm open to giving it another shot.
