It was really busy on a weekday at dinnertime. You can tell that this place is really popular among locals and college students not only were all the tables filled, but there was also a decent line at the counter ordering takeout or waiting for a spot to open up. I came specifically for the baklava. The menu only listed options starting at 4 pieces, but they were fine selling me single pieces. I tried the pistachio baklava with chocolate. It was a bit too sweet, so next time I think I'd opt for the version without the chocolate. It also was chewier and less flakey than I'd expected, but decent nonetheless.

Hands down the best restaurant in Providence. The restaurant itself is cute, clean, and overall a very inviting space. Excellent for a longer, more relaxed lunch. The true standout, however, is the food. I ordered the falafel, the dolmas, and the hummus— all were superb. I went back several times. Both the food and the space are crafted with passion and attention to detail. Aleppo Sweets is well worth the trek.

Definitely one of my new favorite spots in Providence. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out! Everything was delicious and the decor inside was beautiful. It does get busy and is first come first served. Highly recommend the ginger tea with cardamom, any kebabs, and the baklava! You’ll leave full and the price is very reasonable. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Great Syrian Cafe near Brown campus. Expertly decorated with middle eastern themes. They have board games and activities. The highlight is their baklava collection. I really liked the pistachio chocolate baklava. They also have full menu with middle Eastern favorites that tastes homemade. Highly recommended!
