On a rainy day I went here on my first date with my not yet girlfriend and she really liked the atmosphere there. There were a lot of people and it was a bit loud but that made it less awkward for us like you know when you're on your first date, you both are shy, don't know what to say and then theres just awkward silence? The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food tastes super delicious. The scavenger had a beautiful crippled panade, long not eaten such a good scavenger, but I was really excited about the sauce, finally really many mushrooms in it so that you didn't have to look for them and also tastefully she was the hammer for me. The Roulade was nicely tender, I didn't think the potato puree would fit. The salad could be a little bit smaller/fine cutting, otherwise it was like a side salad. We like to go back. We stayed in Nuremberg 2 x breakfast in Alex. Why because it was just good. The alternative offers as a substitute for brunch were optimally compiled, not necessarily inexpensive, but ultimately worth the price. As far as the “Corona rules” are concerned, they have been super implemented from our point of view. The service was attentive, fast and always friendly. Very special thanks on this way to “our” service on both days, a beautiful wedding and all the good for the common future!
A good place to meet for brunch. I loved loved loved my bowl of coffee aka Cafe Au Lait. We sat outside in the courtyard. It was uncomfortably windy, so make sure you bring a jacket just in case. Excellent, well-trained staff. Food was good enough, but Alex is a chain, so they have that chain feeling, like all foods are good, but nothing breaks through to superb. Would go again. With a jacket.

The restaurant was busy with a vibrant atmosphere, but service was efficient. My smoked salmon flanmkuchen was enjoyable—light and crisp, though the smoky flavour was a bit too mild for me. My husband’s schnitzel was decent and everything on his plate was attractively golden. However, be aware that the extra mayo offered to you isn’t on the house. Overall, it was a nice experience.
A big plus point of this location is the really great location and the great terrace towards the main market (usually very full and you don't get any space) . In the interior I find that on days with a lot of operation, the noise level is very high.
The food was delicious and served with perfection. The atmosphere was uplifting and enjoyful. At first there was a delay in getting waited, but once we had service everything went well.
I didn't have a dish here that wasn't delicious, and the staff is great.
