Nach 40 Jahren hab ich es tatsächlich geschafft, dem „Alexander“, laut eigener Homepage die „Kultkneipe im Herzen vom Hannover“, einen Besuch abzustatten. Auf der Homepage ist auch zu lesen, das die Gäste es toll finden, dass sich seit 1984 hier nichts verändert hat. Ich muss leider gestehen, dass das für mich eher ein großer Nachteil ist. Allerdings habe ich die Kneipe auch nicht in den 80‘er Jahren des letzten Jahrtausend kennen gelernt, so dass ich hier auch nicht meinen sentimentalen Erinnerungen nachtrauere. We went there with our group of 16 people.The place is like a brewery. Everything in wood. The waitress was fun and fast! Now you have to understand this is not a gourmet temple! Their food is home style cooking, very simple but tasty. They also have decent prices! Our men loved the beer they serve! So if you would like to have a fun night with simple home cooking food , then is the Alexander a place to go! By the way the menu is in German and English.

We go here all the time for a massive, delicious schnitzel for very good prices. The wait staff are super friendly and fun, plus they have great beer and a beer garden out back.
