It's difficult to review Alfa negatively. It is the 'sister' cafe to the Alfa Bakehouse, a Yarraville stalwart we have visited for over 15 years. I visited Alfa today for a spot of lunch with my kids before they head back to school. And...what a disappointment! So simple, and they got it all wrong. The service was terrible. Not that the staff were rude...they just didn't have their act together. We were seated and straight away asked what we'd like to order, even though we had only just arrived and had not even been given any menus. When we said we would like a few more minutes, they forgot about us - around 15 - 20 minutes later, we had to call the waitress over. We ordered a New York chees...
My godson and his Fiancé told us to meet them here for a late lunch. It was a very welcoming cafe to walk into and on a hot Melbourne day the Air-conditioning was wonderful relief. I instantly got a migraine asked the lovely waitress for some water and slices of cucumber wasn't a problem and delivered quickly to my table.I ordered the mix lamb & chicken plate with salad The lamb was excellent, coffee ☕️ great My family all loved what they ordered Service and staff were welcoming and friendly We all enjoy the experience and catching upWould go there again when in the the area
Alfa bake house is a wonderful place to go to for brekky brunch or lunch. Week days ( non holiday season ) is best time to go there as weekend's can get extremely busy, as with all the cafes in Seddon. It's a large cafe with outdoor seating available. Extensive menu for both breakfast & lunch plus takeaway meals including freshly made sandwiches, salads, wraps. It's fully licensed & also sells an array of fresh cakes & slices
Was recommended by friends as good casual dining. I enjoyed the pumpkin and vegie soup of the day, while the kids shrugged the child menu and opted for the adult items! The hash browns and poached eggs looked very decadent, while the wagyu cheese burger my ten year old couldv'e fed a tribe...absolutely massive! Highly recommend for families, but keep kids away from very tempting sweets display at counter!

I arrived for a late lunch. I ordered the calamari no chips with Greek salad. The calamari arrived with some sort of flour coating (not explaining ed on the menu). The coffee I ordered never arrived. I'm eat low carb so the coating on the calendar I was off putting, I know I know I should have asked. The service was very patchy, so all round not a great experience.
What a gem.Wslking into this place was very relaxing.Great coffee and service.Lunch was easy. No problem in cstering for certain dietary needs.One of the guys behind the glass production windows was happy to grreet us and ask if we enjoyed our meal. Nice sincerely honest touch.I'll stop here again for lunch when rolling passed Seddon.
Third time I have been there for breakfast and the food and service excel expectations. Prompt service (which I prefer), strong coffee, delicious, inventive and filling meals. Last breakfast was the pumpkin fritters. Absolutely sublime even with the absence of meat. My new favourite above Common Galaxia and Seddon Deadly Sins.
Best cafe for breakfast & lunch in western suburbs. Prompt, friendly, efficient service with Great menu, terrific coffee and sublime wines - thoroughly recommended.

The food was nice but there was way too much of it. The chilli eggs came in a bowl where the oil gathered in the middle/bottom which didn't look the nicest.
A replica of its big brother in Yarraville. If you like Alfa Yarraville, you will like Alfa Seddon. Good of brunches in particular.
