The portions at this restaurant are generous and absolutely delicious. I tried the salt and pepper calamari which was deep fried without any old oil flavor and fantastic. The vegetables were a great addition. I also had the extra sharp shrimp pad Thai noodles, which although not as sharp as I had hoped, had an incredible taste. The strawberry love dessert was okay, but since I have never tried it before, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was really impressed by the care and dedication put into preparing the dishes, especially considering it was a takeout order. I was so eager to dig in that I didn't even get a chance to take a pretty picture of the pad Thai, but trust me, it was amazing.
Great place. If I ever go through Mt Vernon again, I will definitely stop here and try more from their menu. I ordered Sushi to go and was told it would be about half an hour so I was able to fill my tank and run a break, and come back in time to lift it. The sushi was beautiful and delicious. I also have the tea of the day and it has hit everything perfectly. Btw, it seems Sushi is the only thing that takes so much time. The people who were there when I arrived and the others who were there when I came back seemed to get their stuff very fast. Just Fyi if you want to plan your timing.
Wonderful food. Not your typical American Chinese/Asian food. It has those items but also excellent authentic items from China, Japan (especially their amazing sushi), and Thailand. Try the Chinese seafood soup, the flavors are so comforting and full of umami you will want to swim in it! A gem of a restaurant and gems of people. Just a sampling: Choice of meat or vegetables with Udon noodles, Lo mein, Chow Mei Fun, Egg foo Young, Chow mein, Chop Suey, fried rice, steamed rice, Nigiri, Sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, teriaki, curries, and MORE!

Not many places around southern illinois that has decent sushi however, this is definitely one of my personal favorites. Their main dishes are fantastic and feel more traditional than your typical asian restaurant in the area. This is definitely a recommended place if you're looking to change your palette in the Mount Vernon area.
Everything that my family had from there was good. Excellent fresh ingredients. Always polite. My Granddaughter from Carmi comes here for the sushi. But my favorite is Thai Pineapple Chicken. Best ever!
Really freaking good! The portions are huge, and super flavorful. Definitely worth the price. Also as a side note, the nigiri sushi comes with a big amount of rice.
This restaurant is a small, family-owned establishment that offers a variety of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese dishes. It is a nice place to dine.
