"Went here are a long day driving on a road trip around the Kootenay region. Good vegetarian choice (meat & fish were available), helpful staff and the food and local beer were delicious. They adapted the set menu which originally had no veggie main course option for us - so that was pretty good value for money."

Me and my 4 friends wanted a celebratory dinner in what was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in town. We ended up walking out after the owner/bar tender refused to give us ice for our water. We asked for water (WATER!) and we received glasses of tepid water from a moody waitress. When we asked for ice, she disappeared without taking the time to give so much as a nod then the owner/bar tender came out and told us "Ice is a commodity so we'll just give you ice cold water and keep your glasses filled." One of us stated the the water we'd been given was far from ice cold so he picked up the glass and threw the water over the fence! I kid you not! This was patio seating, obviously. Then...

We went with our kid on a Saturday night. We came at 6 pm. and were ignored from the start and through out the evening. We had to ask for menu cards a couple of times. We ordered quickly but after having waited 1 hour for your main courses (and could see that all other in the restaurant had received their orders) we asked how things were going with our order and were told that it was coming shortly. Waited another 20 minutes. Asked again. Now the owner came and answered in a very rude and aggressive way. At that point we decided that we could not stay any longer. Our kids had been sitting for almost one and a half hour.....They still wanted money for the drinks and while I was paying the own...

The place is way over rated, used to be decent years ago, but not even average now. I had the salmon for $26 and it was fishy smelling, dry and poorly done. The vegan lasagna was apparently good but it was $22. The service was terrible. After dinner we wanted a coffee with liqueur and were told because it had been a hot day they had shut off their coffee making machines??? They wine we wanted they were out of. The waiter didn't even pour any wine into our glasses. For the prices they charge they need to clean up their act

Had a reservation for 7, meals were very tasty and servings were more than adequate, Service was great and they had no problems splitting orders (appies) on two separate plates. Not sure why others had bad experience? Have visited this restraunt a few times over the years and have never had an issue. Will return
