This bakery has been established for over a century, and it's clear they have it figured out. Their pastries, cookies, and cakes are all wonderful. After 7:00 PM, the store is less crowded, making it a great time to visit. Their cakes are delightfully sweet! While they are on the pricier side, they are definitely worth it. Everything is fresh and delicious. Plus, the atmosphere of the store is very relaxing, allowing you to enjoy your cookies while taking in the vibe of the city.
I reached out to Alliance Bakery four days before a surprise birthday lunch to request a cake, and they were incredibly accommodating. The final product was stunning, but what truly set it apart was that it was the most delicious cake I've ever had! The flavors included vanilla cake with lemon curd and raspberry rose buttercream fillings, all covered in Italian buttercream frosting. This will definitely be my new favorite bakery, so don’t hesitate to order from them!
That’s the 5th year I order my daughter birthday cakes from there, never had a problem, until today . Uploaded image to the website as I usually do , paid for the cake over $200 and came to pick it up to find out that it was decorated differently, VERY disappointed. Talked to the manager to find out that they cannot fix it and he will not do any discounts for a cake I don’t want. I understand mistakes happens but really not happy with your customer service
A bakery with a renowned craftsman. The cakes are visually a kind. Moderation by an expert Now I said that I had a taste for a pecan roll that was tasty, but small and less average in appearance. The Croissant was common and lacked the buttery appeal. Parking also difficult with a charging zone. Service average. Decor classic elegance. I'm just back when I see an open parking lot. I decided to try a cinnamon roll and a cupcake. I ate the cupcake, while my sister had the cinnamon roll, and we both agreed that the flavors were nothing special—just like any pastry you’d find at a grocery store. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this café. Also, when I paid in cash, I was informed that I couldn't get a receipt because their register is outdated and doesn’t support that functionality.
I bought Paczki today at the Alliance bakery and it was a complete disappointment. They were dry, the filling was too sweet, lack of fresh fruit flavor, and the glaze on some of them were soap. Grocery purchased Donuts would be an improvement. At $5 per piece, the product should be much better. I would suggest another bakery for Fat Tuesday.
This bakery has some of the best Haferflose cookies I've ever had. It also has nuts. So if you have allergies, make sure it's just oatmeal. I'm sorry I couldn't get a picture... I grabbed this cookie. I have pictures of the theme cookies. The BHM was Dope! When I'm back in Wicker Park, it's definitely coming back!
