Although I didn´t stay here I was very impressed with the character and ambiance of this hotel and it is definitely a hotel I will recommend to friends. Four of us enjoyed a relaxing lunch with great food at this hotel´s lovely restaurant sitting under the covered terrace overlooking the garden and pool area. My cannelloni made from the finest of crepes was filled with vegetables and prawns and served with a tomato sauce, looked huge but was light, perfectly made and very tasty, as was my Merluza main course. We have been coming to Altea for nearly 20 years and were looking for somewhere new to have dinner on our wedding anniversary when we discovered this restaurant online. It is somewhat off the beaten track (best accessed by car) but offered a haven of peace and tranquility in the height of the busy summer season. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed drinks outside before entering the covered terrace area for our meal. There was plenty to choose from on the menu and we decided on the 3 course set menu for €23 (without wine) which was delicious and excellent value. This is the restaurant of the Hotel Tossal d'Altea, number one on Tripadvisor's hotel list for Altea. It ia now called Restaurante Almassera de Guillem. We have an unusual allergy, and this was very well catered for, the chef taking a personal interest. We rarely eat at a hotel's restaurant more than once in a week's stay, but we ate nearly every night, a daily special menu changing every day, some inspired combinations of food, and quality wines included in the price. Even if not staying at hotel it is worth tracking down (see hotel reviews), long lunches by the pool or late dining indoors next to old olive-pressing machinery which gives a special atmosphere. Fuimos a comer, y estuvo muy bien, el trato fue muy bueno pero la comida, para mi gusto fue normalita. No había nada extremadamente bueno. De primero pedimos una ensalada que estaba buena y de plato principal comimos un arroz de marisco, que la verdad que estaba bueno, pero bastante normalito. De postre comimos una tarta de chocolate que estaba rica, pero tampoco nos pareció buenísima. Lo que si que nos gustó mucho fue la atención recibida por parte del camarero que nos atendió. Fue muy amable, atento y nos aconsejo muy bien sobre la cantidad de comida que debíamos pedir. El local es muy bonito y acogedor. En cuanto al precio, para mi gusto, fue caro. Restaurante muy acogedor. Tiene una terraza con pérgola en la que comimos muy agusto, justo con la piscina del hotel al lado. Pedimos un arroz meloso de rape y gambas que estaba buenísimo. La camarera muy atenta con nosotros. Pasamos un buen rato. Muy recomendable.

Teníamos media pensión y se hizo un poco aburrida 5 platos de 1 y 5 de segundo y tuvimos que pedir un día a la carta y nos trataron como si fuera menú buena atención por esta acción
Lo único malo los mosquitos que hace que no puedas disfrutar de su amplia y bonita terraza del restaurante
