This restaurant is essentially serving up sugary treats disguised as health food. The base is pre-made and overly sweet (containing added sugar, even in the sorbet). The peanut butter has added sugar, and the coconut is also sweetened. After taking a few bites, we had to throw it away because the overwhelming sweetness overpowered everything else, not just the fruits. There were no traditional acai bowls available, and we wished there were more options for customization like other stores offer.
This restaurant serves some of the freshest acai dishes I have ever tasted. From the fruit to the granola, everything in my bowl tasted fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to start my day before heading to San Diego. If you're looking for a light and refreshing breakfast, definitely try this place out. I was so impressed with the taste that I forgot to take a photo.
The atmosphere of Aloha Acai so welcoming and everyone is family there! In addition I can CONFIDENTLY say that these are the best acai bowls in San Clemente and the full coffee bar and smoothies are amazing as well! Much love for the Aloha crew and if you’re driving through San Clemente this is a MUST(! to stop on into!
