Sometimes it's absolutely worth walking a bit further than the ordinary tourists do. Whenever I am a guide for Hamburg newbies Alsterperle is definitely among the top 5 places to go. This is where Hamburgers chill out after work or on the weekends having a drink in the sun, eating a Bratwurst and enjoying the astonishing view at the city center. The bar is a converted toilet house directly next to the Alster lake about a 20 minute walk away (very enjoyable) from the main station. There is outside sitting only, thus you should go when the weather is nice. In winter you will probably rather have mulled wine, in summer Beer or Aperol Spritz. After nearly completing my lap of the park/lake on bike I stumble upon this place utterly parched. They not only solved it with a liter of beer but a relaxing setting and a picturesque view. I made the mistake of getting a pre made salad and almost gave this place a 4 star but honestly, for the price of beer an view, it's still a 5 star. Also looks like the sausages were the real way to go and I didn't try those.

Alsterperle is a wonderfull getaway from the hectic modus of a big city, near "Schönes aussicht" (hope it is spelled correct), You will be greated with one of Hamburgs finests views, great atmosphere and a delightfull drink if this is Your wish.. Take a timeout and try it
When me and my boyfriend discovered this place, we were just amazed by the beautiful view and the amazing landscape of the lake! Here we drunk a couple of good beers and enjoyed chattering a lot during the sunset...lovable place! We hope to come back...soon!

Down to earth bar with good beer and excellent views of the Außenalster. Not crowded when I visited in an early summer night, but apparently it can get really packed when the temperatures soar. Book a table now
