Alte Post - Table reservation

The food was great in our opinion. Would recommend to others for sure. The place is clean, well kept up and cosy. I was suspicious at first as it was in a small village, but once you enter it was beautiful. The service wasnt bad,...but at the end we had lost track of time and need to pay and go right away. So i decided to take the bill and pay it directly up front. However, the waiter said he would be there twice to me, carry on just clearing a big table. It would have took less than sec for him to take my money and send me on my way as i had the money ready Instead, i just left the money and left. If a customer is standing in front of a waiter with the money ready to pay, obviously means he...

We dropped by for a late lunch so the restaurant was not so full filled up when we were leaving. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We were surprised that the menu was bilingual German and English, really helpful. We went for the...real classic Bavarian sausages with potato salad and sauerkraut just perfect. As a starter we had home made soup with knodel. Located next to a fortified church. Really great

The house specialty are their Nuremberger Sausages which are okay. Maybe we had just bad luck, but the small restaurant was so busy, the atmosphere really reminded me of a post office more than a cosy place to enjoy my lunch. The service was friendly...enough, though

I've been here twice while visiting Nurnberg for work. I have not been disappointed. The food is delicious. Make sure to try some of the appetizers..
