we would have liked to have tried the food on the basis of the previous reviews. when we arrived, a large group of about 10 people left the restaurant. When we came in, it was not a place for us, as they were underoccupied personally. at the earliest in an hour.On the one hand, I understand that it is difficult for too little staff to ensure the service accordingly and then rather send people away despite free tables. but as a hospitable, this is especially annoyed with small children. we won't try it again.
had somehow expected more due to the previous reviews. she had blueberry carvings. the carving was unfortunately not freshly prepared and had even black feet. as a supplement there were only badly salted pommes.I had brainmedaillons on wax-holder beers sauce. qualitatiw O.K. but if it really is to be the favorite dish of the cook...In other words, the price/performance ratio is still true, the ambiente fits, it is cozy, if it was really warm today and the service is friendly.
at the arrival in the hotel we were asked if we would like to dine in the evening at the restaurant. a table was reserved for us. in the evening we have ordered a menu. lamb crown with sweet and duckin-art and a rumpsteak with pommes. both was delicious. meat tender and medium roasted. service was always in wide range and asked if everything was in order.
trout was fresh and tasty prepared - highly recommended! the same applies to the brain. fine supplement salad! during the second visit - pfifferlings with rösti - not quite as proving: rösti were apparently not handmade and connected with pfifferlingen rather than main court for the small starving. jägerschnitzel without miss and tadel.

cozy restaurant with good atmosphere. sweeter and welcoming service. well prepared eating in traditional German style, without being too much. After we had eaten there the first night, we returned the next day without being disappointed. we had not booked a table in advance on any of the days.
This restaurant serves typical food from the region Harz. As usual in Germany the plates are great and sufficient for "big eaters ".The restaurant is near the city center. It's a simple restaurant with a friendly staff. The prices are reasonable good for a touristic environment.
we were here for breakfast buffet. everything worked wonderfully: we said before the day, and when we arrived, we were immediately shown a table. the buffet was completely in order, the service nice and from the price totally in order. very recommended.
Sorry, we had only read good about the restaurant. the recommended sweet white wine was only sweet sour, the bratkartoffeln lukewarm and partly burned, the speck in the bratkartoffeln completely burned, the meat unfortunately as madallions too dry.

pfifferlings and the much and delicious. a delicious dinner. very friendly service and rustic atmosphere. we recommend this restaurant.
