We have been here twice when visiting family and both times had a lovely time. As mentioned by the previous reviewer, the house itself is amazing. Inside it has a cozy feel slightly reminiscent of a cafe from the 70's - but in a good sense. This time we went for lunch and the quality of 4 out of the three dishes were amazing. Salmon on a bed of linguine and spinach and the soup of the day (carrot, orange and thyme). I would have given it 5 stars if the third dish had been similar and there had been bread with the soup. A quiet place on earth that invites you to stay. The view of the shopping street is really nice. The ambience is very cozy and lovingly furnished. The staff is very friendly and always strives to satisfy the guests. I can only recommend the café to everyone. The cake is really excellent!
We went here for breakfast and it was lovely. It's clearly a real tradition in Germany and it was nice to sit over a pleasant breakfast together. There were many and varied dishes on offer, although certain ones could have been refreshed more quickly perhaps. Very good indeed all round.

Beautiful café in the old town of Stade. Here it always tastes super good and super delicious. Cooking is authentic and there is something for everyone. Ambiente is very cozy and you feel welcome here. Service is extra class. We look forward to coming back
We only heard well from the old town café and wanted to see us personally. The location is very cozy and rustic. The staff is very friendly and the cakes/pies are homemade. That's why the Marzipant strain tasted us better. Clear recommendation!
We enjoyed the charm of the upstairs restaurant. The fischplatter was very good with 3 kinds of lightly breaded fisch. We saw some nice cakes to try next time and hopefully nice enough to sit outside.
A very welcoming cafe/restaurant where we only had coffee but were treated like kings! The young waitresses could not have been more helpful which included taking lots of pictures of the seven of us!

Very delicious food on a good, clear map. We stayed there today and enjoyed delicious fish dishes on the cozy sun terrace. The service was very friendly and super fleeting. We felt very comfortable.
Self-made cakes from the finest. Cosy place found with very friendly service. Hot drinks also made us happy. Very recommend the entire old town café.
