I ordered a Schweine schnitzel Swiss style, which claimed to be a...piece of pork covered with emmentaler and mushrooms, what i received was disgusting pieces of over cooked pork, with a dark sachet sauce laced with a bit of what appeared to be cheese, did not taste nice at all. My wife ordered Cordon Blue and what arrived was a piece of overcooked breadcrumb covered meat which was under cooked. We immediately complained as the pork was still bllody and thus inedible. This is a great german restaurant a little off the beaten path in Landstuhl, not touristy at all (although they do have English menus available and the owners speak English). The owners are super nice and the food is outstanding. We had the schnitzel with...mushrooms, which was to to die for. The apple streudel was fantastic. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely, on a nice day you can sit out on the deck. I agree about getting good directions, but it's completely worth it once you find it. They have special chicken on Fridays but you need a reservation. Highly recommended!!
I made reservations on this place without knowing anything about it. I was happy I did! I went on a friday night which is their chicken night. I highly recommend this special, it was fabulous! The atmosphere is quaint but can get lively as the...night goes on. Please make reservations because the place fills fast. There is outside and inside seating. Waiters speak great English and there's a kid menu. Oh and dont forget to try the flaming Shots YUM!
Hey buddy of mine have found this place on Google and we decided to give it a try. It's not too far of a drive from the Air Force Base in the food and atmosphere were very pleasant. It was not overly crowded and it...sits right next to a lake which is very aesthetically pleasing. If you're looking for good German food in the local area I would definitely give this place a try it's worth the time and I think a hidden gem

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We joined a group and they made space for us. My son had the flamkuchen who was great, and I had the schnitzel with caramelized onions which was great! I also had a great Dornfelder with my meal, upon...the recommendation of the very friendly, helpful server. Highly recommend you find this out if the way restaurant.
I wouldn't choose this restaurant if I was looking for a good meal or gourmet experience, but for relax in the evening on the terrace with a drink and snack it is the right place not busy, quiet place with beautiful view to the...lake. You will have to get good directions, it's a little out of the way. Totally worth it. Prices are wonderful, food is even better. All the people are so warm and welcoming that you feel like you go there every week.
