I like te food here. it does come fresh and tastes good. But the service should be improved. I don't know if it was the owner or not but I got in and she addressed me like what am I doing there? The restaurant was having an event and there was a large group. She owner or manager looked overwhelmed and she did give little attention to what I wanted and she only shook shoulders and said that she does not have room . I actually wanted take out so ... well so much for that. I had to wait 10 minutes but they were fair to estimate that time. soMy 2 cents: 1 listen what customers want and then answer. 2 never underestimated single customers, they might bring in the next big group 3 always be courte...
A friend and I ate supper here and everything was delicious! The staff are excellent - our waitress was friendly and efficient. I told her I was a vegetarian and she was easily able to modify the dishes. We shared everything and my non vegetarian friend was just as pleased as I was with our food, authentic Chinese flavours. We had 2 spring rolls and 3 dishes: some fat Shanghai noodles (my favourite), green beans with garlic, which the waitress recommended and were perfect (not overcooked but not undercooked either), and an excellent chop suey. After my wife got her nails done at Coco Nails around 2pm, she was hungry.We asked the waitress for suggestions and settled on the Gourmet Dinner for Two ($40).We started with hot and sour soup with shrimp which was a first for us as we normally have won ton soup. I was presently surprised at the flavors. The appetizers were a green onion cake cut into four, 4 deep fried chicken wings, and two carb and cream cheese fried wontons. There wasn't any grease on the platter from them.The main part was szechuan beef, special fried rice with egg, and a vegetable plate.Everything was tasty.And of course, fortune cookies with your bill.
Oh my! Edmonton is growing and going in the right direction. Normally, you have to go to cities like Toronto, or Vancouver to get a Chinese restaurant that is authentic, good, reasonably priced, in the suburbs, and the Chinese community will visit. Amazingly, you can find such a place in Edmonton (albeit one) at Amazing Wok.We ordered the Peking Duck with their assortment of side dishes and a couple more dishes for good measure. I am quite impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly staff that served us which does not happen too often historically. Definitely will inform my friends to come by and try the place.

I was on a day off and went to the Amazing Wok for lunch. The food came fast and the waiter was super attentive. I've eaten here about 5 times and have always found the food to be consistent every time. The price is a little higher than I've paid at other similar Chinese food restaurants but it is tasty and the portions are very generous. I would recommend the Amazing Wok to anyone looking for a good feed of Chinese food.
I took my parents and my daughter after commenting on the food at the Amazing Wok. I found the service by our waitress to be very good. The only issue this time was each dish came out separately which was about 10-15 minute intervals. The food was good and they apologized for the slow service. Maybe just an off day for them as previously I was impressed by this restaurant.
I have been to Amazing Wok twice and I have been very impressed with the quality of food and service... Great value for the money as well. Very extensive menu with authentic Chinese cuisine. The roasted half duck is devine... This place is a must try for good food and wonderful service.
We just picked up our food for take out. We ordered the "amazing meal for 2". There was plenty of food and several dishes. Fed 3 of us with plenty of left overs. It was the best rice and sweet and sour pork we have eaten!
